A few nights on the road

We left Surat on Friday and have spent the last three nights on the road, instead of travelling North to Emerald we detoured East travelling first to Glenmorgan a small town that has a motor museum in an old garage, the owner parks his cars there and leaves the keys in and people can just wander around and look, donation only, Brian spent quite a bit of time there.... The rest area where we camped was right in town and again just a donation, lovely spot, we hooked up to power and spent a very relaxing afternoon there. One other van and a camper joined us and we all had a great time, trip to the pub for a drink and a campfire. Next morning we all made a slow start, they were going the opposite direction to us. We moved on and just missed getting caught in the Anzac March in the next town, Meandarra. We camped the next night at Miles and as it was Anzac Day everything was closed, another slow start on Sunday as we looked around Miles and did some food shopping before leaving. Longer day on the road and we shared the driving, heading now to Emerald,  more difficult to find a spot to camp, but finally about 4pm found a layby/truck stop and headed in to the bush to be away from the road. It was quiet, only us.......... Next morning we found another caravan had pulled in but further away from us also discovered that we were at an old Rustlers camp.

Today we arrived in Emerald and booked into a caravan park so we could use the laundry, the washing was really pilling up, tomorrow we will head to the shops. We enjoyed our little detour, met good people and friendly towns
